Talk Like A Pirate Day – September 19th

Talk-Like-A-Pirate-Day-coAccording to the official International Talk Like A Pirate Day website this swashbuckling holiday was created by a few racquet ball playing buddies during the mid 1990’s. September 19th was chosen because it was the only important date one of the creators could remember that didn’t have another holiday on it. It was his ex-wife’s birthday. Seven or so years went by with the guys, barely remembering to honor it themselves, celebrating their holiday mostly alone. Eventually one of them emailed Dave Barry (the syndicated columnist) about their idea and the rest is TLAPD history. So Avast and Yo Ho all day long at your co-workers, friends and mutinous scurvy dog bosses. Happy TLAPD from Cruising Outpost!

The Official TLAPD song

A funny, inspiring song to set you off on your way to pillaging the neighboring cubicles. [br]

  1. But an educated person knows what kind of people he should use to sit in with. And what kind of habits he must gain from them. And how much he should be influenced from the companies of the people around him.
