The second annual Cruising Outpost/Tradewinds Radio Cruiser’s Party on Cane Garden Bay, Tortola was a full blown success! Cruising boats jammed the bay at Soper’s Hole and even some had to go into Road Town, but the gathering of an estimated 200-250 cruiser’s was at Myett’s right on the beach in Cane Garden Bay.

A great local band entertained the beach party from about 4 p.m., and then, at 6:30, Chris Klein & the Boulevards from New Orleans had the dance floor packed all evening. They brought the sounds of The Big Easy right to the beach! The pianists daughter, Arden not only had the crowd on their feet with her hula-hoop dance, but she also was the ticket puller for the raffle, with the proceeds going to youth sailing on Tortola.

We at Cruising Outpost want to thank our sponsors: the folks at Sunsail, Quickline and Fortress Anchors for making it possible for us to bring all these cruisers together for a night of fun on the sand in paradise.
