Sailing enthusiasts donate waterfront property to St. Augustine for youth program

The St. Augustine Yacht Club is getting a youth sailing program thanks to a donation made by a local couple.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida — Waterfront property isn’t typically free, but it was this week.

St. Augustine couple Dr. Stanley Paris and Dr. Catherine Paris offered a donation of land along Salt Run to the City of St. Augustine.

Their proposal is for the city to, in turn, lease the land to the St. Augustine Yacht Club for it to be used as a Youth Sailing Center.
