There’s something about stepping onto a boat in the middle of the South Pacific that doesn’t quite feel real. Maybe it’s the color of the water, so clear and bright it almost looks edited.
Maybe it’s the way the mountains rise straight out of the ocean. Or maybe it’s the feeling that, for the next week, nothing else really matters.
SHARE THE SAIL: TAHITI STARTED BEFORE ANYONE EVEN LEFT THE DOCK.
People arrived in Raiatea from all over, some traveling solo, others with friends, most not knowing anyone else in the group. But that didn’t last long. Within hours, introductions turned into conversations, conversations turned into laughs, and by the time Friday night rolled around, it already felt like something bigger was taking shape.
Under the warm island air, with the sun dropping behind the horizon, the entire group came together for the first time. There was an open bar, a full buffet, music playing, and that perfect mix of excitement and curiosity as everyone started to picture what the week ahead might look like. It wasn’t just a quick meet-and-greet. It was magical.
